Seychelles Ports Authority is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced personnel for the following posts:
PORT ENVIRONMENT OFFICER
The Environment Officer is responsible for investigating incidents that affect health such as pollution, accidents at work, noise control, toxic contamination, pest infestations, food poisoning and waste management, and ensure a safe working environment for employees.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct investigation regarding environmental incidents which may arise on the SPA’ s premises;
Compile reports and proper documentation;
Advise the SPA Management on all environmental matter;
Provide training courses for employees in regards to environmental health and safety;
Gather samples for testing;
Investigate environmental complaints made either internally or externally, and make proper follow up;
Ensure that SPA is in conformity with all governing environment legislations;
Conduct inspection visits on SPA’s premises and identify all potential environmental risk and ensure that the risk is mitigated.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
University Degree in Environmental Science or related field, or 3-5 years working experience in environmental sector.
Remunerations: Based upon qualification and experience.
